About Ticket to Wellbeing
Ticket to Wellbeing is a new Tasmanian Government programme designed to reduce the cost of sport and active recreation membership for eligible older people. The programme provides two $100 vouchers towards the cost of sport and active recreation membership for older people who fit the eligibility criteria.
If you are 65+ and you are listed on a Services Australia issued “Health Care Card” or “Pensioner Concession Card” you may be able to access a Ticket To Wellbeing voucher that will pay for your Club membership to Orienteering Tasmania (OT).
A voucher can be used to pay for the ‘Adult concession’ $25 membership but a better use for a voucher is the new ‘Veteran concession + local entry’ $100 membership. The $100 membership option includes free entry to ‘local’ events anywhere in the state until the 31st December as well as giving you access to reduced entry fees to OST and state Championship events.
You can apply for the vouchers now, but you don’t have to use them straight away.
Vouchers can be used at two different activity providers, or both at one activity provider. Currently, the maximum adult membership fee for Orienteering Tasmania is $100, so only one voucher is needed. You could use the other voucher for another eligible sport.
How To Obtain a Voucher.
To receive a voucher, you must apply online via the state government Ticket To Wellbeing website HERE https://tickettowellbeing.tas.gov.au/apply_for_a_voucher
When your voucher application has been approved, the government will email you the Ticket to Wellbeing vouchers. Each voucher has a 12-digit number (2 numbers and 10 letters). Once you have a voucher number you may follow the steps below to register its use for orienteering in Tasmania.
