The Orienteering Tasmania annual points tables are updated a few days after each OST or State Championship event.
Last weekend's UTAS Sprint and Risdon Brook Middle were both OST events so you can now see how they changed the leaders boards and, more importantly, what the Excellence Points say about who did particularly well, or not. A bit of a spoiler:
- once Kate was let out of the download trailer she produced a cracker of a run at UTAS.
- at Risdon Brook, Louise Fairfax again took the full 25 points, and Jim Laver's long experience and long legs helped him to take 24 points.
Being schools selection events meant that many of our talented juniors had to do the moderate course 7, which is ineligible for excellence points, but at Risdon Brook the quickest boy and girl did have the satisfaction of posting the fastest kilometre rates for the day.
