Tasmanians featured well at the WMOC
Overnight the World Masters Championships concluded in Turku, Finland with the Long Final. The day had rain and overcast conditions. Reports indicate the event was conducted in beautiful moss-covered forest. Backing up from their performances in the Middle Final, WA's Anthea Feaver in W65 and TAS's Sue Hancock in W60 both cracked the top 20 with a 19th and 20th placing respectively.
Other A Final placegetters were:
M70
39 - Ted van Geldermalsen – VIC
W50
65 - Cathy McComb - TAS
We also send a big shoutout to all our Aussie competitors at the World Masters and hope you enjoyed the experience of Finnish orienteering.
