Batteries of failed SI units are now being replaced locally by Andrew Barber. This will be a much cheaper and convenient process than forwarding these by road transport to the Sportident agent in NSW. In the course of doing the first batch of replacements Andrew remarked that many failures were not of the battery itself but of the soldered wire joint between the battery and the SI unit. The likelhood of such failures would be increased by rough handling of the SI units. So please remember that although the SI units have a tough exterior they contain delicate electronics. Note also that the BSF7 units are no longer being produced by Sportident so we need to look after the ones we have.

This is the 2nd event in the Southern Spring Twilight series. The event uses the Taroona map that takes in Taroona High and areas south to Taroona Beach. Four courses are available – Long, Medium, Short, Primary.

Where is the Assembly Area?
The assembly area is in Taroona High school Dixon Beach carpark. There is very limited parking in that carpark so please use other school parks, also limited, or better... -
This is event number three in the EVOC twilight calendar and is being held on the 5th of November at the Inveresk campus. The map is flat and fast, with areas of buildings, expanses of out of bounds, and networks of intricate olive green (garden beds). The map consists of two parts separated by the North Esk and a large out of bounds road, which can only be crossed in one place via the footbridge. All courses either cross or get close to a carpark, so please take care.
