An exciting range of events has been put together to ensure that you can get your fix of orienteering during the ‘traditional’ Australian Championships week. Over 10 days you can complete 3 OST events, a fun local event, a night event, a MapRun rogaine and three training activities. All this close to St Helens - the Top Tassie Tourist Town for 2020. Come and enjoy over a week of orienteering and if you need a break there are beaches, bike trails and coffee shops to enjoy. For more details about each event see the individual events in Eventor. Keep an eye on Eventor as some locations may change due to planned burn-offs.

September 20th event at the Waterworks
This is a southern local event being held at the Hobart Waterworks Reserve off Waterworks Road, Dynnyrne. Four courses are available – Long, Medium, Short and Novice catering for all ages and levels of experience. As promised, no courses run around the dams on this occasion and, with an uphill walk to the start, there is more downhill than uphill on all courses. Help will be on hand for any beginners.
Entries close on Wednesday September 16th. For details and entries see Eventor.
Southern Permanent Courses
New Waterworks Permanent Course maps are now available on the OT website. There are short, medium and long courses available. Please note, however, that due to ongoing damage to hole punches, these are no longer being used in new permanent course maps in southern Tasmania. Experienced orienteers using the permanent courses for training should be happy enough to simply get eyeball on the control markers. Schools and other groups who want to ensure their members have visited the controls will find that each control has a 2 letter code attached. If group members carry a pen or pencil, they can write the codes in the relevant boxes on the map.

Order your own new Tasmania O-top
This is a top which could be worn when travelling and competing interstate and overseas to proudly identify you as a Tasmanian orienteer. The design is different from our Tasmanian representative tops, only similar in the use of state colours. It features two of our state emblems, the Tassie Devil and the Blue Gum.
Tops will be sold at cost and prepayment will be required before an order can be placed. Please contact Kim Nankervis - - with your sizes and quantities and you will be provided with details for payment. The tops will be purchased through Bryzos (Siven) and are available in men’s and women’s sizings with singlets also available. O-tops cost $50 and singlets $35.
