Tasmanian Sprint Champs
A message from the organisers
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Tasmanian Sprint Championships at Randalls Bay.
We hope you enjoyed both the technical and weather-related challenges of the area. When we checked controls one week earlier, it was the most stunning blue sky day. Descending into Randalls Bay we could see all the way to snow on some of the higher peaks in the South West World Heritage Area. From the same position on Sunday morning, we couldn’t see the road 20 metres ahead of us.
Entries are now open for the 2020 Tasmanian Long Distance Championships to be held on Saturday 12th September at Russells Plains. It will be the first use of the new Russells Plains map (remapped by Alex Tarr, November 2019). The event organiser is Paul Pacque and the event controller Paul Le Fevre. Entries close at midnight on Monday September 7th. (Note change from the usual Wednesday entry deadline.) For further information and for entries see Eventor.
