Last Chance to Enter Tasmanian Schools Championships
The Tasmanian Schools Championships will be held this Sunday March 28 on the nearly new map, Stonehenge. This is the first selection race for the Tasmanian schools team which will compete around St Helens in September this year at the Australian Schools Championships. Children attending school or college and born in 2009 or earlier are eligible for selection.
This lovely open wooded farmland area with few fences is a delight to run around and has many technical challenges to keep you focussed. There are courses on offer for all ages. You don’t need to be in school to compete; if you can remember attending then that’s good enough.
Get your entry in now as entries close this Tuesday the 23rd March at midnight.

The future of The Australian Orienteer magazine
Mike Hubbert has advised he plans to retire as Editor of the Australian Orienteer.
OA is considering the future of the publication and are interested in input from State Associations, ahead of a discussion of the issue at the AGM at Easter.
Options available are:
1. The status quo, with a quarterly magazine published both in hard copy and electronically.
2. Retaining a quarterly magazine in a format comparable to present, but published only electronically.
3. Ceasing the magazine in its current form, and strengthening the monthly e-bulletin.
Note that the latter two options would save significant costs (about $10,00 per year). So that we can represent the views of Tasmanian members at the OA AGM, if you have an interest in this can you please email OT President Sally Wayte with one word stating your preference i.e. status quo, electronic, or cease.
