How did you go in the Hobart Twilight Series?

Thomas and Julia website 2The 2019 Spring Twilight Series has just finished. Over the 7 events, 256 people participated at least once - 144 students and 112 adults. On average, 118 people attended each event. This series would not have happened without the 75 volunteers who made it possible – THANKS!

Individual Winners:

At each event you received 20 points for coming 1st, 19 for 2nd and so on. Your scores from your best 6 events were added up. Congratulations to these winners:

Schools’ Long Distance - there were clear winners - Mikayla Cooper won all of her events and Will Whittington most of his.

Schools’ Medium Distance - Anna Mulcahy won easily. The Boys’ Medium class was decided at the final event when Marcus Degenaar just beat Henry Gell home.

Schools’ Short Distance - students from South Hobart Primary dominated – Felix Green won the Boys and Liana Stubbs the Girls. The first 6 students in Girls’ Short were all from South Hobart Primary – more about this school later.

Primary Schools – Harry Vincent from Illawarra and Ella Clauson from Taroona were clear winners.

Adult Long Distance – Ainsley Scott easily won the Women’s. However the Men’s Class was closely contested, Jemery Day finished with 95 points, ahead of 3 others on 94!

Adult Medium Distance – here the presidents dominated, OT president Sally Wayte and Australopers president Bert Elson showed everybody how it’s done.

Adult Short Distance – Sally Salier and Karl Bleasel easily won their classes.
