It poured – over 8mm of rain from start to finish. But the All Schools Championships went ahead. It was a day where every participant was pushed out of their comfort zone, especially those wearing glasses. But everyone rose to the occasion.
Summerdale Primary easily took out the Primary Schools Division. Hutchins won the senior boys with a narrow margin over Taroona High. In the senior girls Collegiate finished in front of Launceston Church Grammar. The results are below.
The competition was held on the new map “Seven Mile Beach”, a complex area of sand dunes littered with thickets of boobialla. Despite the difficult navigation and teeming rain most kids finished their courses and in surprisingly good spirits.
