Winter technical training continues this Saturday, meeting at Coningham beach car park.

After a car shuttle or not-so-gentle uphill walk, the orienteering will start at the top of the ridge and you will descend a little over 200 m on a course criss-crossing the spurs.

This will test your ability to maintain direction as you descend and judge how far you have dropped. You’ll be well prepared for Mt Pearson or a downhill escape from zombies after this.

Time: 3pm sharp at the car park. We’ll leave shortly after in as few cars as possible. Don’t be late!

If you would prefer to walk to the top, you’ll need to start walking at 2:30 – (contact Jon for walking route info).

Finished by 4:30pm.

Courses:

Long: 4 km

Medium: 3-ish km

Short: 2.5 km
