Participants enjoy a local challenge at Geilston Gully

Geilston Gully 450x253Over 70 finishers, including newcomer cross country athletes that Mike Calder arranged, and some from athletics.  Not a bad rollup considering so many juniors and coaches and parents were away at the camp.  Great physically challenging courses set by first time setter Anthony Stoner in areas not visited previously.  There was a 700m walk to the start.  Long course maps were available only at the start.  Quote of the day from Julian Roscoe after he finished, puffing heavily: “By the time you had a look at the long course  it was too late to do anything about it”
