Call for Volunteers

‍Now that the orienteering season is almost upon us (hooray!), we still need a few more volunteers to run our events. Events still requiring planners and/or controllers are shown below.

We’re also looking for people to help on the day at all events – there’s a role for everyone!

‍The admin role involves welcoming people, taking payments, and loaning out SI sticks. This is a busy role at the Twilight Series, but we’ll make sure there’s an experienced admin person on at all times to help out if you’re new to the task. Control collecting is a great way to practice orienteering without the pressure of competition.

See here to sign up, or email Sally if you have any questions.

Compasses Needed by this Sunday - can you help?

‍Our 4-week Learn to Orienteer program got off to a great start on Sunday with over 30 participants attending the first session, more than we expected. For the next 3 weeks we will be using compasses, but we have a problem - the compasses we ordered for the program many months ago still have not arrived.

Do you have a compass at home that you are not using and could lend to us for a few weeks - put your name on it and we will ensure you get it back. It doesn't matter what sort it is or if it has a bubble in it, as long as the needle points north.

Please contact Mike asap if you can help out.

‍Thanks for getting this far
