Currawong-Lakes

Currawong Lakes https://www.currawonglakes.com/ is privately owned land near Lake Leake, with luxury cabin accommodation situated in a beautiful environment. A variety of outdoor activities are offered. The owners approached us to set up orienteering for their clients and we are using the area as a result.

Runnability is generally quite good, due to the semi alpine vegetation. The underlying geology is dolerite; however stony ground is significant on the steepest edges only. The combination of an extensive track network and spur gully terrain will make for some interesting route choices and good orienteering.

The business owners like to maintain a tranquil environment for their guests and are not taking guests other than orienteers for the Sunday. I can highly recommend the place to any orienteers who would like to stay there over the weekend. They may offer discounted rates to orienteers. Minimum 2 nights stay.
