The Esk Valley Orienteering Club runs an annual Northern Schools Orienteering Championship, open to all school aged students in the North and North West of the state. This event, along with a state-wide Schools Championship and nominated state selection events, also provides a pathway for young orienteering athletes towards possible selection in the Tasmanian Schools orienteering team.
Entry is open to any student at primary or secondary college and students are encouraged to enter through their schools. This event will be run in conjunction with our regular twilight event with school entrants being prioritised for starts over other competitors. Additionally, courses 4 and 5 will be open as part of the LSSSA competition on Friday 21/3/25.
Where is the Assembly Area?
In the main picnic area in the Punchbowl Reserve (near the play equipment).
How do I Enter?
School Entries are to be completed via event secretary on email
Twilight entries (non school) are due by midnight on Monday 17 th of March. It assists the organisers if you enter using Eventor – the online orienteering entry system.
