Permanent orienteering courses are on land under the control of various state or local government bodies. All advisory signs in the area, and instructions by responsible staff, must be obeyed. Possession of the course kit and map does not confer any special rights. When you download a permanent course kit you acknowledge that you recognise that the sport of orienteering has certain inherent risks due to its conduct in an outside environment. Included in these risks are injury due to the possibility of rough ground and obstacles and the potential effects of heat, cold and exhaustion. You must also be aware there is no personal accident insurance to cover your participation in the sport and that you take part at your own risk.

  • Calvert's Beach - Southern Local #11 - Sunday 20 October

    This is the 11th Southern local event for 2024 - Five courses are available – Long, Medium, Short Medium, Short and Novice. Because of the technical nature of the Calverts Beach tracks, courses are slightly shorter than normal with novice designed for young orienteers and beginners, ranging up to the medium and long aimed at experienced orienteers.

    Where is the Assembly Area?
    The assembly area is in the middle carpark at Calverts Beach – there will be signs at the turnoff from South Arm
