Permanent orienteering courses are on land under the control of various state or local government bodies. All advisory signs in the area, and instructions by responsible staff, must be obeyed. Possession of the course kit and map does not confer any special rights. When you download a permanent course kit you acknowledge that you recognise that the sport of orienteering has certain inherent risks due to its conduct in an outside environment. Included in these risks are injury due to the possibility of rough ground and obstacles and the potential effects of heat, cold and exhaustion. You must also be aware there is no personal accident insurance to cover your participation in the sport and that you take part at your own risk.

  • We are excited to have our Coach in Residence, Albin from Sweden, leading regular training sessions in the Hobart area through to mid-December!

    Each week, Albin will run two focused sessions — Thursday afternoons and Saturday afternoons. Sessions are designed for different difficulty levels and length, and are free - however pre-registration is required to help with map printing.

    This is Australopers annual Christmas Event. However members of all clubs are most welcome to attend especially as there will be some presentations made and lots of fun guaranteed.

    The main event will consist of 3 courses using the Spring Beach Youth Camp map. Maps will show the location of controls  but not their number or description. You will need accurate navigation!! All courses will include novelty activities near the end. Bring your champagne, chicken and salads as well as BBQ fare for a relaxing social get together on the lawns at the...
