Annual Awards Dinner

SAVE THE DATE! The Annual Awards Dinner will be held at The Lindisfarne Rowing Club on Saturday Oct 16th. A short and painless Special General Meeting of Orienteering Tasmania will held at the commencement of the evening. Lindisfarne Rowing Club, 16A Esplanade, Lindisfarne 16 October 2021, 6.30pm The business to be transacted is to receive the 2020 audited financial report (an interim unaudited report was discussed at the AGM).

Tas long distance and relay champs

2021 has been a tough year for Tasmanian orienteers. Not only did we lose one of our best areas - Pittwater - we also lost our Australian Championships carnival (for the second time). But a quick glance through Eventor shows just how lucky we are in many ways. Entries Now Open for the Carnival That Never Will Be

Entries are now open for the CTNWB, and close at midnight on Sunday 19 Sep. Good news - the usual delicious and great value Junior BBQ will be on at The Tas Middle - order your lunch via Services on Eventor when entering this event. There will also be a Coffee Van at all events - selling food and snacks at all events except Tas Middle. Please support them. AOC2021 Refunds

If you pre-entered AOC2021 prior to cancellation, you should have received an email about your refund. If you haven’t received this email, part of it is repeated below. The new local event versions of the Launceston Sprint, Turbo Chook 3 Days and Tasmanian Middle Distance Championships are going ahead but with lower entry fees – So, you still need to request a refund for ALL AOC2021 events and re-enter the new local versions. The Carnival That Never Will Be - Program is here!

The CTNWB kicks off with a sprint event on Saturday 25 Sep on a new map of UTas in Launceston. The next day we move to the boulder-strewn hillsides of Rajah's Rock at Avoca for the Tasmanian Middle Distance Championships (roughly halfway between Launceston and St Helens - about an hour's drive from each). On Monday afternoon there's a 'Odds and Evens' score event on another new map - Bosses Rocks near St Helens. Then it's the event we've all been waiting for - the Turbo Chook Three Days.
